John Pettitt

Mr. John Pettitt brings a deep technical understanding of hardware and software combined with a strong entrepreneurial track record and brings with him 39 years experience in communications and e-commerce. An internet pioneer, active on the internet since 1983, Mr. Pettitt has been a founder and CTO of multiple successful companies. Mr. Pettitt has founded and taken two companies to IPOs – software.net, the first internet app store and e-commerce pioneer (IPO, Beyond.com later acquired by Digital River); and CyberSource, a world leading payments and fraud detection company (IPO, later acquired by Visa). He has also founded and sold two companies – Specialix PLC, a manufacturer of communications and networking hardware (acquired by Pearl systems), and Relay Media, a mobile content optimization company (acquired by Google). Mr Pettitt is the inventor of multiple foundational patents relating to e-commerce, fraud detection, and content distribution and management. Mr. Pettitt currently serves as technical leader for a large, multi-product team at Google.
